Has
responded to the challenge of econonomically empowering
people in vanous, communities throughout the country by
becoming certified to offer 2,000,000 shares at $1 per
share, thereby creating a public market or securities for
securitites of the Company where one did not previously
exist under SEC Rule 504 Regulation D;
Provides
annual financial statements prepared by independent
certified accountants as well as audited quarterly
financial reports;
Plans to
register With NASDAQ on anuary 1, 2000;
Plans to
participate in share swaps With other major corporations
in the Harlem community to bolster share
purchases;
Offers a
plan to directly target the nation's Empowerment Zones so
that its residents may benefit from the econonomic
education and stabilization of members in the inner city
communities.
HBCU
Initiative Harlem
Office SuppIy, Inc.:
Has
met wit the C O.O. of the United Negro College Fund ("
UNCF") to discuss plans to bring to each of the 41
Hstorical Black Colleges and Universities ("HBCU') a
partnership store on each of their respective
campuses;
Has
provided UNCF with a plan that would encourage students,
faculty,alumni and members of the communities surrounding
each HBCU to become
owners
of each store through stock ownership
Has
initiated this program through the opening of its
flagship College store at Edward Waters College in
jacksonville, Florida this fall
Has
received the full co operation of President Jimmy Jekins
and Bishop
Cummings
of Edward Waters College in the initiation of this
project;
Has
received i'ts first challenge grant from Mr. Pete
Carpenter, President of CSX Transportation to match
students purchases of up to $10,000. in
shares.
EMPOWERMENT
ZONES The
United State Federal Government:
Has
recognized that there are a people who have been
disenfranchsed from their position in the economic
mainstream of this country,
Has
legislated Econonic Empowerment Zones as, a 10 year
demonstration project;
Has
embarked and distributed several hundred million dollars
for each Empowerment Zone;
Has
mandated that each State and city in which an Empowerment
Zone is located match the gove -rnment"s contribution
towards this project; and
Has given
tax incentives to businesses providing jobs to the
residents within the Empowerment Zones.
